NAMASKAR
An Advanced Yoga Immersion in Bali
October 24-31, 2026
Eight days in Bali to refine your practice, sharpen your teaching, and reckon with the work that doesn’t end. There is a teacher in you that hasn’t yet been revealed, and only continued study will draw them out. This training is for the practitioner who is ready to take on the tapas of that study: to light the sacrificial flame, to endure the discipline, and to produce hard-earned results. And, possibly, to have fun while doing it.
Built for teachers, open to serious practitioners.

CURRICULUM PILLARS
Move beyond knowing the shape of a pose and into understanding the practice within it.
Through pose-by-pose labs, we’ll explore the postures that continue to challenge us long after we’ve learned their basic form. What changes about Downward Dog or Tadasana at year ten? Where does refinement come from when you already know the shape?
We’ll explore advanced inversions, arm balances, deeper backbends, alignment, transitions, and intelligent progression—giving these practices the time, attention, and curiosity they deserve.
Move beyond template flows and begin building classes that are distinctly yours.
Explore theming, intelligent sequencing, peak-pose preparation for experienced students, and arcs that can develop across a single practice or an entire series. You’ll examine not only what you teach and when, but why—learning to create experiences that feel intentional, cohesive, and complete.
The goal isn’t to give you another sequence to teach. It’s to strengthen your ability to create your own.
Refine how you communicate, lead, and hold space for a room.
We’ll explore vocal work, intentional language, cueing, observation, and hands-on adjustments beyond the basics. Learn when to speak, when to say less, and how fewer words can sometimes carry more weight.
For teachers, this is an opportunity to examine the habits you’ve developed and uncover a teaching voice that feels increasingly clear, confident, and authentically yours.
Take yoga philosophy off the shelf and bring it into conversation with your actual life.
Rather than simply studying concepts and texts, we’ll explore what these teachings ask of us as practitioners, teachers, and people. We’ll work with samskaras you’ve actually identified, examine the questions that arise through continued practice, and engage thoughtfully with the complex and sometimes contested history of yoga.
The intention isn’t simply to know more philosophy. It’s to discover how the teachings can inform the way you practice, teach, choose, and live.
Explore practices that extend beyond asana and develop your capacity for sustained attention, awareness, and inquiry.
Meditation becomes a daily discipline rather than a weekend introduction. Pranayama is given time for continued practice and observation. We’ll explore the vayus, chakras, doshas, and other subtle frameworks as living maps—tools for understanding your own experience and expanding how you approach your students and your teaching.
Develop a more intimate relationship with your own experience.
Through mindful movement, meditation, journaling, reflection, and guided inquiry, we’ll explore the patterns, habits, and beliefs that shape how we move through practice and life.
This work invites greater presence, curiosity, and self-awareness—not in pursuit of a “better” version of yourself, but as a way of becoming more honest about who you are and how you want to show up.
What happens when yoga stops being something you do and becomes part of how you live?
Through svadhyaya, daily disciplines, reflection, conversation, and practice, we’ll explore who you are beneath the techniques you’ve accumulated and the roles you’ve learned to play.
This is where the pieces of the immersion begin to come together: practice, philosophy, teaching, embodiment, and self-study moving beyond the studio and into everyday life.
Because the training may end after eight days.
The practice doesn’t.

Dan Ward & Ava Moreno
Dan Ward
Dan Ward has been practicing yoga since 1990 and leading teacher trainings since 2013. His teaching is rooted in Power Yoga and the YogaWorks tradition, Ashtanga’s flow married to Iyengar’s alignment, and is shaped by his teachers Gabriel Halpern, Bryan Kest, Maty Ezraty, Annie Carpenter, Leslie Kazadi, and Jerome Mercier.
Based in Los Angeles, he is the founder of Dan Ward Yoga School, a Yoga Alliance–registered 200-hour program. His approach emphasizes self-discovery — teaching from authenticity rather than mimicry.
Dan teaches for the practitioner who recognizes that the study of yoga never ends. His advanced trainings are built for those ready to take on the tapas of that study: to light the sacrificial flame, endure the discipline, and produce hard-earned results.

With years of experience leading teacher trainings, continuing education programs, and movement-based learning experiences, Ava is passionate about helping students move beyond memorization and into meaningful understanding. Her approach combines thoughtful instruction, practical application, and reflective inquiry, creating learning environments where students can develop confidence, deepen their practice, and discover their own authentic voice as teachers.
