Roam & Root

A Bali Movement + Adventure RetreatUluwatu, Bali | April 18 - 25, 2027

Roam beyond the familiar. Root into what matters.Spend eight days on Bali’s southern coast moving, exploring and reconnecting with the part of you that comes alive when life feels expansive. Through twice-daily movement, shared adventures, nourishing meals and time immersed in the beauty of Uluwatu, Roam & Root invites you to step outside your routine and into a week filled with curiosity, connection and possibility.

There are seasons for staying close to what you know—and seasons for going somewhere new.

Roam & Root is an invitation to choose the latter.

This is more than a week away. It is an opportunity to move differently, see somewhere new and remember how much possibility exists beyond the edges of your everyday routine.

Each day will balance intentional movement with meaningful exploration. We will practice together, venture beyond the villa, experience the landscape and culture of Bali, share beautiful meals and leave space for the spontaneous moments that often become the most memorable.

Come for the movement. Come for the adventure. Come because something in you is ready to roam.

Arrival: Sunday, April 18Departure: Sunday, April 25

Retreat Philosophy

Adventure outward. Return inward.

Exploration has a way of expanding us.

A new landscape changes what we notice. A new experience asks us to become more present. A different rhythm creates space for curiosity, courage and connection.

Throughout the week, movement will become our anchor—not something that keeps us in one place, but something that helps us meet each new experience with greater awareness and confidence.

You will be encouraged to explore beyond what is familiar, both in your practice and in the world around you. There will be opportunities to challenge yourself, moments to slow down and plenty of space to experience Bali in a way that feels joyful, energizing and fully alive.

Daily Schedule

A Rhythm Designed for Movement and Discovery

Morning
Wake with the sounds of the villa and begin the day with an energizing movement practice.

Breakfast
Gather for a nourishing meal and prepare for the day ahead.

Late Morning and Afternoon
Set out on a group excursion, explore the area or enjoy free time at the villa.

Late Afternoon
Return for time by the pool, a massage, rest or quiet connection. Lunch will be offered at the villa.

Evening
Gather for a grounding practice followed by dinner and time together.

Some days will feel full and adventurous. Others will offer a slower pace. The final schedule will be created to give you both the excitement of exploration and the spaciousness of retreat.

Your Home in Uluwatu

Villa Yoga Bingin

Tucked into Bali’s southern Bukit Peninsula near Bingin Beach, Villa Yoga Bingin is an eco-inspired estate created for gathering, movement and retreat.

Traditional Javanese Joglo houses crafted from recycled teak surround tropical gardens and a distinctive flower-shaped swimming pool. The property also features an open-air yoga bale, private ensuite accommodations and plenty of room to gather—or find a quiet space of your own.

Our group will have a beautiful home base from which to practice, rest and explore the surrounding Uluwatu region.

Meet the Co-leaders: Cailyn & Ava

With shared roots in dance and years of experience across yoga, Pilates, barre, mobility and strength, Ava and Cailyn bring complementary teaching styles to the retreat. Their approach is grounded in intelligent movement, thoughtful education and the belief that practice can be both purposeful and joyful. Together, they will create a week that invites you to move with curiosity, explore with confidence and experience Bali with your whole self.

Ava

Ava Moreno is a yoga educator, mentor, and founder of THE WORK by Ava, an online platform dedicated to supporting teachers and practitioners through continued study, practice, and community.

With years of experience leading teacher trainings, continuing education programs, and movement-based learning experiences, Ava is passionate about helping students move beyond memorization and into meaningful understanding. Her approach combines thoughtful instruction, practical application, and reflective inquiry, creating learning environments where students can develop confidence, deepen their practice, and discover their own authentic voice as teachers.

She believes yoga education extends far beyond certification and that the most impactful learning happens when study becomes a lifelong practice. Ava has lead movement retreats and teacher trainings in person and virtually all over the world.

Cailyn

Cailyn O’Donnell
While dancing professionally in Switzerland, Cailyn discovered yoga as a grounding complement to ballet, helping her build strength, mobility, and a deeper connection to her body. What began as a personal practice quickly evolved into a passion for mindful movement and overall wellness.

After completing her 200-hour certification in Vinyasa and Yin Yoga, Cailyn began teaching in Orlando, Florida in 2014. She later moved to NYC, where she completed an advanced 300-hour training focused on sequencing, arm balancing, restorative yoga, Yoga Nidra, and prenatal yoga.

Now based in Los Angeles, Cailyn teaches yoga, mat Pilates, sculpt, and barre. She has also continued expanding her education through Functional Range Conditioning® (FRC®) certification, deepening her focus on mobility, joint health, and intentional movement.

Drawing from her ballet background, Cailyn’s teaching style blends strength, mobility, and fluid movement to create classes that feel both empowering and approachable.

Give Yourself Room to Roam

Why Bali?

Because some places invite you to see differently.

Bali has a way of making space for both adventure and reflection. From dramatic coastlines and warm ocean water to lush landscapes, vibrant culture, and a deep connection to movement and ritual, the island encourages you to slow down, look closer, and explore beyond what is familiar.

It is a place where days can hold both energy and ease—morning movement, afternoons spent discovering somewhere new, long meals, ocean sunsets, and moments that remind you how good it feels to be fully present.

For Roam & Root, Bali is more than the backdrop.

It is part of the experience.
